Any of our packaging with the ‘Return • Refill • Repeat’ stamp can be returned for us to wash and reuse. Our older packaging and those without the stamp have been designed sustainably for home recycling or compost.
You can return your empties via over 1,000 Holland & Barrett stores.
We would recommend saving a few empties to send at once. Especially with glass, please ensure to pack it well to avoid any breakages. We’d recommend old newspaper or even popcorn.
All empties are sent to us here at Beauty Kitchen. We remove inserts and labels, then wash the packaging and send to our fulfillment team to reuse for the next batch of products.

As you know, so much of the worlds plastic ends up in the ocean and plastic tubes found in beauty products are so dangerous to our sea life. For this reason we use packaging with airless pumps. They have no tube attached to reduce on packaging. They do sometimes take a bit of encouraging to work, particularly if a small air bubble has formed within. The best solution is to replace the product top, bang the bottom of the bottle on a hard surface (like a table or worktop) and continuously pump until the product comes out. This action primes the pump and it will resume working. It is also best to hold the product upright to help with the airless pump action and store at room temperature. Once you get the pump action “going” so to speak, you should not have any more problems.
We use only ever 100% naturally derived ingredients in Beauty Kitchen products, and every ingredient in our products has a purpose in the formulation - whether its the ingredient's properties itself or the ingredient is being used as a carrier where we use natural essential oils. We've never used micro beads in our products. With so many natural alternatives like seeds and kernals, or even brown sugar - there's no excuse. Finding natural and sustainable alternatives is our mission.
We use organic ingredients wherever possible but every ingredient we use is of the best quality and is always ethically and sustainably sourced. This is something we at Beauty Kitchen are massively passionate about. So much so that we are one of over 2,600 global corporations granted B-Corp status. A B-Corporation is a company that uses business as a force of good, and for us that means adhering to our ethics and beliefs that the beauty industry should be more sustainable.
We feel very strongly about the issues surrounding the use of palm oil. We do not use palm oil in any of our products, however we do use 7 derivatives (mainly Glycerine) in very minute quantities. We source these ingredients from ares where we believe there is a higher ethical stance and understanding that smaller individual farmers or cooperatives look after their eco-system better than corporations. Sustainability and balance is at the heart of everything we do, from supporting communities through fair trade and farming standards, to using a range of ingredients rather than focussing on just one. There are many alternatives to palm oil and although some of our glycerine is sourced from palm oil we also source it from coconut & soy.
All of our products are 100% natural and we use high grade essential oils. With essential oils and pregnancy, its about their percentage mix within the product. For pregnant ladies we recommend our Fragrance Free Sustainables Range. Please note that we do not replace the advice of medical professionals and would always advise that, if in any doubt, you speak to a medical professional.
Our products are either self-preserving or use natural preservative systems such as honey, vitamin E, essential oils and other natural oils. We do not use any synthetic or artificial preservatives in our products.
Due to being 100% natural, our products are gentle on sensitive skin. If your skin is sensitive to fragrance, we recommend our Free From range for bodycare and for skincare, you can find products which are fragrance free here.
All of our packaging is pre-cycled, recycled or recyclable, and we use other people's unwanted packaging to save it from going to landfill. This does mean our packaging will change from time to time but rest assured the product will be just the same. Orders are normally despatched next working day using DPD Carbon Neutral Next Day Delivery or Royal Mail Tracked 48 hour. If you order before 12pm and use our express delivery you will receive your order the next working day.
Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 3-10 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
We use DPD Next Day Delivery - (this service is carbon neutral) for all orders in the UK, except for the Scottish Highlands and Islands and the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands where we use Royal Mail Tracked 48.
For all orders within the EU we use DPD Carbon Neutral and Royal Mail International Tracked.
We use Royal Mail International Tracked to despatch all orders outwith the UK and the EU. These orders are then forwarded onto local carriers in your area for delivery to you.
Returns & Exchanges
If you need to return a product to us, please contact us with a note of your order number which you can find on your order confirmation email and let us know if there was anything wrong with it. We really hope you love your Beauty Kitchen purchase. However if something isn’t right, we offer a 30 day guarantee. We’ll happily exchange your item or refund your purchase within 30 days of delivery if you’re unhappy or there’s something wrong with a product. All you need to do is contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll take it from there. Please note - you may be asked to return your order or a particular product in order to receive the refund or exchange, depending on the circumstances.

Discount codes cannot be used with subscriptions. As you’re already receiving a discount on your order, your order will not be eligible for using any further discount codes at the checkout.
