ABYSSINIAN OIL - THE POWER TO HYDRATE

Abyssinian Oil has a biological makeup that mimics human sebum, to rapidly penetrate the outer layers of the epidermis to deeply nourish the skin and sooth dry or irritated skin. It also helps to balance out the natural oils in your skin, which is great if you have a particularly oily complexion or oily patches in combination skin.
There are so many beneficial elements for the skin that Abyssinian Oil can bring, such as hydrating Vitamin E and erucic acid which works to prevent transepidermal water loss and protects skin from the elements. The Omega fatty acids (Omegas 3, 6 and 9) that are present in Abyssinian Oil range are what work to regulate the skin's oil production and improve hydration which can subdue breakouts and minimise signs of aging.
Supporting Biodiversity
Abyssinian Oil is sourced from the crop Crambe Abyssinica, a regenerative plant that is native to the Ethiopian Highlands and has a short growing cycle of around 100 days. It doesn’t require a huge amount of water to sustain itself whilst nourishing the soil it grows in. Unlike Argan Oil, a truly incredible ingredient but not so sustainable, Crambe Abyssinica can be grown in a variety of locations to support natural eco systems, attracting a diverse range of flying insects including bees and butterflies.
How to Use
We’ve pulled together a simple balancing and hydrating skincare routine to get you started with this nourishing range.
Cleanse
A creamy cleanser as opposed to a traditional foam one will melt away impurities gently without stripping or disrupting oil balance. Our Prime Time Cream Cleanser contains nourishing shea butter and sweet almond oil to keep skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated, even after cleansing. Top Tip: Use one pump of cleanser and massage into skin in circular motions, and pair with a Facial Cleansing Konjac Sponge to remove the cleanser and lightly exfoliate skin.
Treat
When skin is hydrated, it looks and feels fuller and more radiant. This Eye and Deep Line Super Serum deeply moisturises to reduce the appearance of dry lines around the eyes and give your skin a little lift. You only need a pea sized amount so a little goes a long way! We’ve formulated this eye serum with no fragrance for use around the delicate eye are, which is great for even the most sensitive of skin types.
Moisturise
Similar to the cream cleanser, our Hydra Boost Day Cream is powered by hydrated shea butter, sweet almond oil, and coconut oil. Although rich is hydrating ingredients, this moisturiser is lightweight and airy upon application so you skin is left soft to touch but not excessively oily throughout the day.
Boost
Our Night Halo Potent Sleep Mask is for those days where your skin need an extra boost of hydration. With the added benefit of blackcurrant seed oil, which we harvest from repurposed ingredients from the British juicing industry, this ingredient is bursting with brightening Vitamin C and antioxidants to replenish the skin overnight. Wake up to skin that feels hydrated, balanced, and ready to take on the day.
